What You Need To Know, When Selling Your Home
As a REALTOR, we will not take it for granted that you know all the ins and outs of the selling process. Instead, we will provide you with a full explanation of what to expect; by doing so you’re not faced with any surprises along the way.
One of the first things we will ask is, Why are you selling your Home?” We will explore time constraints you might have, your financial situation and any future plans. We will inform you of all the possible expenses and fees that you as a Seller may be responsible for. This is all part of getting to know you so the sales will be handled to your complete satisfaction.
Arriving at an accurate estimate of value for your home is one of our prime tasks. It involves analyzing your home and comparing it to other, similar homes for sale in the neighborhood. It may also include a broader market survey, using sales statistics available only to qualified REALTORS. In the end, you will be sure the price you set reflects the true value of your home under current market conditions.
The Seller Listing Agreement
This is a legal contract that gives us the right to act as your exclusive agents in the sale of your home for a specific period. The Listing agreement spells out exactly what we will do on your behalf and we will take the time necessary to explain this to you.
How Do Realtor Fees Work? In most circumstances, commissions are paid by the seller. We will ensure that all representation, commission and financial considerations are explained in full detail.
Tips & Hints
Whether or not your home shows well to prospective buyers can determine how long it stays on the market and what it sells for. We will give you tips on how to improve the marketability of your home and create the best first impression. We will provide you with a Home Staging Check List.
